Did you know that just ten years ago Lenovo sold only one product in one country? Fast forward to 2013, when they became the top-selling PC maker in the world. Then in January of this year, they announced that they’d be acquiring Motorola less than a week after announcing their purchase of IBM’s low-end server business. Assuming that both of these deals are sanctioned by the US government, Lenovo will have tripled in revenue over the last five years. But if Lenovo wants to become a major force in mobile business, they’re going to have to change their strategy and dig into unfamiliar territory as they go up against some of the biggest powers in the tech industry.
